Vesper Description Vesper is a small farming community in the center of the island of Derimir. Once at the crossroads of the road between Cerea and Noma with the Westroad to Naye Bay, Vesper is largely cut off from the rest of the world today, but is self-sufficient enough to feed its population. Today Cerea is in ruins, so the Mainroad is not used anymore and has fallen into disrepair. Naye Bay can only be reached by boat on the Vesper river or by taking the dangerous trip through the Greywoods. Leaving vesper to the north, one will shortly arrive at the Bandit Pass. Beyond that is only wilderness with few save havens like the Chondra Grove. Lately Vesper has become a major focal point of those trying to reclaim civilization. This has drawn a large number of adventurers to town. History At the end of the third era, Vesper was a village, much smaller than it’s larger neighbors Cerea and Noma. However when the Northern Empire invaded Derimir and occupied first Cerea and later Noma and Naye Bay, Vesper became the destination of many refugees and a rallying point of the free peoples of Derimir. Though much fighting occured here (like the Battle of Vesper in the 12th year of wolf) and some of the refugees from Naye Bay and Noma returned to their communities after the war, the number of inhabitants is still slightly higher today than it has been before the Period of Destruction. |
